Perfect Gift Ministries

Throughout the generations, many Christian Leaders have come to the point where humility is considered more a function than that holy place of humility before God.  Servanthood is at best defined as doing what we can to help our fellowman. I am not saying that helping is bad, what I am saying is that God does not require us to merely help, He requires us to serve.

We must serve from that place before God in humble relationship with Him, moved by His tender mercies.  Is this not the life of our Lord Jesus Christ?  Every chance He got He set Himself apart and humbly came before His Father; not just asking what must I do but being filled from on high with power to do what had to be done.  In scripture, Jesus the master of all became the servant of all. Dare I ask: How did He do that?  Just as Moses, Isaiah, David, Paul and many others, He did NOT do it!  God did it!  Yes, God did it by helping them to see one simple truth. They were but a vessel, albeit a holy vessel, that was set apart unto God. A vessel that would in humble relationship with Him and in willingness to die unto themselves and unto this world; He sent His Word to them and worked It in them, then He poured It through them.  As Jesus said, "If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.(John 10:37-38)

We have come to the point that we look at “What needs to be done”, then set ourselves to do it. What truly needs to happen is we need to be going into that place, that humble relationship we have with God and humbly seek what He wants us to do.  After all my brethren, hasn’t He already done all that needed to be done to fulfill His Word?  Jesus, that suffering servant, was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities.  Was it not the Hand of God that upheld Him?  God in His Mercy has allowed us to try, and fail, that in so doing we might come to the end of ourselves and humbly seek to be filled by God with the will and the way to fulfill the work He has set our hand to.  We are called to be servants beloved, not to be served.

Twenty five years ago as I sought the Lord in prayer and fasting, I was given this revelation; ministry (by the definition of the word) is servanthood. Since then every scripture I read draws me into that holy place of humility before God where I am able to be the least amongst you, the carpet one can stand on to get one half an inch closer to Jesus Christ.  Ministry is not about numbers, it is not about the results we can make manifest with our programs and strategies.  Ministry is about humble servanthood to our God and King; then watching Him send His power and His plan to us, to then work it in us so that He and He alone would pour it through us. When He has thus done, the world will truly know that  Jesus Christ is Lord!

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and broughther unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. (Gen 2:21-25)

Reading the above it seems very straightforward that God made Eve from Adam and simply introduced them; Adam saying who she was and what would follow. I would like to set forth a possibility of what the Spirit has said within me:

Adam falls into a deep sleep, God removes a rib from him with which to fashion the bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. Scripture tells us that seed can only bring forth fruit of its own kind; likewise this bone could only bring forth bone of its own kind. Therefore; the flesh as well could only be after its own ki nd because the man and the woman (the Ish and Isha) are to be the fruit of one being.

The scripture does not mention what happened when Eve became woman...

Continuing the possibility... Eve awoke and realized within her that part of her was missing. She had to find the place she belonged in the purpose of God to mankind. She searched and searched for the head she knew had to be her head... looking here and there in the garden... searching and longing to be whole as God intends...

Adam awakes and realizes that part of him is missing... bone and flesh are no longer bound within him... he begins to search for that which is missing... that which, when he finds it, will make him whole as God intends...

The two searching and yearning for wholeness... searching to find the oneness God has intended for man.... yearning to be

one... one in the bone and one in the flesh... searching without resting... searching... urgently searching to once again be one...

never knowing why, just knowing they must be one...

Suddenly the one sees the other in the distance... they begin to run... the one running to the one... running faster as they get closer; driven by the oneness God put in them to be... they run into each other's arms and suddenly they know... they are one...

Adam declares it is so... no longer me... no longer you... there is only we... as one.

Therefore the longing within is the way God intended it to be; longing to be one in each other that we might be one in Him as

we are one in Christ and He is one with God and we are one in Him.

Rejoice in the longing... fully knowing that God Himself made it this way... that we would long to be one... and in that longing, He alone will lead and bring us to the fulfillment of His Perfect Will. Long for holiness... long for humility... long for the love of God to be poured through you... long to be the least among you... for in that longing is the Will of our God brought forth within us that He might pour it through us for His Glory alone.
